This is my fifteenth school year living here in California, and also my fifteenth year teaching at Millikan. I love teaching, and I love Millikan! I am very involved at our school, as well as with our PTSA, and I encourage others- teachers, parents, and students- to get involved as well!

 

Here's a little bit about me: I was born and raised, along with my 2 sisters and 2 brothers, in the beautiful state of Maine, and I graduated from the teaching program at the University of Maine in Orono. I enjoy going back to Maine each year to visit, especially in the summer. However, I really love the weather out here - I am NOT a fan of cold and snow! My hobbies include rollerblading (especially at the beach), hiking, camping, traveling, reading, singing, and walking.

 

I believe that all of my students WANT to learn, and I pledge to do my best to ensure that learning takes place every day in my classroom. In addition to teaching required state standards, I believe that it is my job to help prepare them to become life-long learners, effective communicators, and responsible citizens.
